About the Turks and Caicos Islands
The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of 40 islands and cays, eight of which are inhabited. The islands are located 550 miles southeast of Miami, Florida, just below the Bahamas chain and just to the east of Cuba and north of the island of Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti). Providenciales, also called Provo, is the most developed island in the Turks and Caicos offering all modern conveniences, including a wide variety of restaurants, spas, shopping facilities, a championship caliber golf course, a full service grocery store. Nevertheless, Provo is still the ideal destination for anyone seeking peace, tranquility and relaxation.
